Paint Correction
Paint correction is the process of refining your vehicle’s clear coat to remove swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, and other imperfections. Depending on your vehicles condition and your desired level of perfection, we offer three levels of correction:
Level 1 Paint Correction
Level 1 correction (often called a one-step or single-stage correction) targets light surface imperfections. This process uses a mild, single abrasive polish on a foam pad to remove light swirl marks, water spots, and minor oxidation. It's ideal for vehicles with well-maintained paint that just need an enhancement in gloss and clarity without heavy defect removal. Because it’s a single-stage process, it's time and cost-efficient and perfect for routine maintenance or for cars that already look good but could use a shine boost.
Level 2 Paint Correction
When your paint has moderate defects such as more visible swirl marks, light scratches, or oxidation, Level 2 correction is recommended. This two-stage process begins with a more aggressive cutting compound to remove deeper imperfections. In the following stage, a finer polish refines the surface by eliminating any haze or micro-marring left behind by the cutting step. Level 2 correction typically restores around 85% of correctable defects, striking a balance between improved appearance and preserving clear coat thickness. It’s an excellent option for cars that have seen more wear yet still have quality paint beneath.
Level 3 Paint Correction
For vehicles with severe paint imperfections such as deep scratches, heavy swirl marks, and significant oxidation, a multi-stage Level 3 correction is used. This intensive process involves several passes with progressively finer abrasives and polishes (and, in some cases, wet sanding) to achieve a near-flawless finish (typically correcting 95%+ of defects). Level 3 correction is generally reserved for show cars or clients demanding the absolute best finish. Because it removes a greater portion of the clear coat, it requires exceptional skill and experience to ensure that the underlying paint isn’t damaged while achieving a mirror-like

Why It Matters:

Choosing the right level of paint correction is essential not only for achieving the desired aesthetic but also for preparing your vehicle for further protection such as ceramic coatings or paint protection films. A proper correction restores clarity, depth, and gloss while extending the life of your paint.
